Parent Resources

Paulding County Parent Mentor Program
Through the joint efforts of several dedicated committees—comprised of both parents and professionals in Paulding County—the Parent Mentor Program was developed to provide meaningful support and services to families.
The Parent Mentor is uniquely positioned as a parent of a child with a disability, offering empathy, experience, and guidance. This role serves as a vital support network for both school districts and families of children with disabilities, helping to bridge communication, provide resources, and encourage collaboration.
The program exists to:
-
Support parents in navigating special education processes
-
Offer insight and understanding from a parent’s perspective
-
Strengthen partnerships between families and schools
Together, we work to ensure that all children with disabilities have the support they need to thrive in school and beyond.
