Office hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed for lunch 12:00-1:00) during the school year. Summer hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
Many Ohio employers, both public and private, are required to perform background checks on new hires and individuals obtaining professional licenses. Western Buckeye E.S.C. provides background check services for (not limited to but including) the following: Schools, Church Groups, Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Daycare Centers, Insurance Agencies, Medical Personnel and other Businesses.
Procedures for electronic submission of fingerprints by Cogent Systems WebCheck:
- Please bring a valid driver’s license with you
- Patron must pay BEFORE fingerprints are taken – cash or a personal check made out to: Western Buckeye ESC is accepted
BCIICOST: $27.00 for the ESC and local school district employees
$35.00 for private schools, parochial schools and all outside agencies
FBI COST: $29.00 for the ESC and local school district employees
$35.00 for private schools, parochial schools and all outside agencies
COST FOR BOTH: $56.00 for the ESC and local school district employees
$70.00 for private schools, parochial schools and all outside agencies
* Hard copies of the FBI or BCII report may be sent directly to the school, agency or individual that requested the fingerprints. The reports can be sent electronically to the Ohio Department of Education, OPOTA, Ohio Board of Nursing, Ohio Department of Insurance, Ohio Department of Liquor Control, Ohio Department of Public Safety/PISG, and Ohio Racing Commission.
* Turnaround time is generally 1-2 weeks, but with the growing demand for background checks, results may take longer.
* Patron will receive a written receipt for proof of reimbursement.
The fingerprinting procedure normally takes about 10-15 minutes. Thank you for allowing us to serve you.
